Ride: FL1-G (Deltona) Sock Hop

Some of us braved the early morning chill to attend FL1-G’s Sock Hop in Sanford.  It was well attended and we had a good time supporting our neighboring chapter. 

Visit to FL1-H2’s Chapter Gathering

Saturday evening found Apopka FL1-Wingers visiting their Orlando FL1-H2 Chapter neighbors for their Monthly Chapter Gathering.  The visit to Orlando ‘H2′ was a wonderful evening.  We were greeted as special guests to their gathering along with Palm Coast FL1-K who came for a visit also.  Thank you Orlando FL1-H2 Chapter!  (5)

RIDE: Multi-Chapter Breakfast at East Lake Fish Camp

What a beautiful, beautiful day for a ride.  A little cool in the morning, and just perfect in the afternoon.  We had such a great time and the buffet was fantastic.  There was a huge turnout for this breakfast.  (8)

 

RIDE: Lakeland Fireballs “Cowboys & Indians” Rally

 

The Apopka FL1-Wingers attended the Lakeland Fireballs Rally called Cowboys & Indians. Patti Geist really cleaned up on the auction items! Go Patti!

Chapter Visit to FL1-G

James, Patti, Ted, Carolyn, Brian, and Kevin had breakfast with FL1-G for the Chapter Gathering.  They meet at the Patio Grill in Sanford for their breakfast buffet, and what a deal.  Food, drink and tip for $10.  What a great group of people.  We laughed so hard.

Chapter Director Message:  Hello GWRRA Friends!!!

What a day Saturday, February 19 was. There were more to ride to FL1-G Deltona than we ever expected. The ones that rode with us made our day!!! We want to thank you all. Chapter G was surprised to get the Hot Potato and we were excited to get rid of it. The restaurant was packed with visiting chapters and we all seemed to win a door prize. Lots of FUN!!!

We hope you will look at the calendar and plan to ride with us soon. Just to remind you of the next ride, it is on Saturday, February 26 to the Navy Seal Museum. More information is on our website: http://fl1w.gwrra-regiona.org . This is an all day ride. Meet at the Apopka Post Office at 9 a.m. (3 hours down, 2 hours to visit, 3 hours back home). Should be loads of FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!

FL1-H Daytona’s Multi-Chapter Breakfast

Hi All,

The ride on Saturday, January 22nd to FL1-H Daytona’s Multi-Chapter Breakfast was a huge success.  There were so many game prizes, it was awesome for the ones playing the games.  It was FUN! 

There are more things to do on the calendar and for the week, I have listed them below.  If you have a chance to join us, come on.  We will look for you.

FL1-S Mingle Jingle

Kevin took an impromptu ride down to Zephyrhills, FL1-S’ Mingle Jingle.  It was a cool cloudy ride down but a beautiful ride back.  Kevin met up with Millie, Gary & Kay, Dale & Helen, and Nolan & Ruth from FL1H-2.  We all had a great time.  It is amazing the decorations one could put on a bike.

FL1-H2’s Gathering on 9/4/10

There was a good group to visit FL1-H2′s meeting on Saturday.  10 of us attended.  It was good to have the turnout.  Lance gave a great presentation on Florida’s Motorcycle Safety Program. Thank-you Lance.  We also celebrated Millie’s Birthday (she turned 29 again).

   

Wander Attempt at Dunellon’s Event

Last weekend turned out to be a good one for the chapter.  Although we did not win the "wood" wanderer for the chapter, there was a good turnout for it. Saturday, August 28, we were met at the post office by Ray all the way from Kissimmee. Thank you for coming over to ride with us Ray. Then we took off down the Toll Road 429 and then to the Turnpike over to I-75 then to 44. We met up with four others to continue our trip over to Dunnellon, Ken, Maryann, Allen and Terry. At this point we have 7 riders. James and I (Patti) were feeling really good about the turnout. After we got to the VFW there was Jim G in his vehicle. What a great way to be presented for this important event! Thank you everyone for joining us in the Wanderer Attempt. James and I are very proud of you for being there with us.
